2010 SWIM SEASON

Now that school has officially started and many of you know your schedules, it's time to start thinking of Dolphin Fall Swim!

The fall swim program could not be more different than the Spring/Summer program. The Dolphins are not a part of a fall conference or league and there are no dual meets. We have one fun meet, usually a Wednesday in October during the normal practice time, where the kids sign themselves up for events and even challenge each other, their siblings, or their parents. In years past some families travel to Reno the last week of October to participate in a weekend meet, but it is optional and not an expectation of the fall program. Really, the intent is to keep the kids swimming as long as we can.

Fall swim begins Monday, August 23rd, at 4:00. There is no pre-registration; you bring your paperwork and the $150 registration fee (per child) to the pool the first night of practice. If you can’t come Monday, you can join in Tuesday, or Wednesday, whatever your first free night is the first week of practice. We do need to have a signed form before your child jumps in the pool.

If you have an experienced eight year old now, but they will be 9 for the upcoming Spring/Summer session, they will swim up in the 9/10 group (same with all other advancing ages).

There may be minor adjustments to the schedule as the Water Polo meet schedule unfolds. We will all let you know..
